Segun Adedeji is a graduating senior at Texas Southern University, pursuing a degree in broadcast journalism with a minor in business administration. This young entrepreneur is as passionate about storytelling as he is about business, and his path to the great state of Texas is a unique one.
Growing up in Minnesota, Adedeji realized that the state was not where he needed to be to pursue his dreams, so he purchased a $900 van and hauled it down to Houston. Wanting financial freedom, he started Puffington Clothing and began to aggressively market his brand all around the city, with promotions on numerous radio shows in addition to hosting fashion shows.
Adedeji is also very involved in the community. He has served on the board for the University Program Council, Student Government Association and is currently an ambassador for the city of Houston, promoting healthy living for the Houston B-Cycle team.
Because of his busy schedule, Adedeji says he’s learned to cherish the small things in life; taking a walk in the park and blending in with the aesthetics of the moment, eating different foods, and just hanging out with family and friends. He believes a peaceful lifestyle promotes healthy outcomes.
